((Okie doke will do =) I’m just going along with whatever so if you ever want to shake it up a little feel free too I’m easy and flexible lol =)))

Stephanie didn’t want him to go but she knew he was right. She didn’t feel safe, even after he had locked the door. She leant back into the pillows and could feel her eyes drooping. She tried to fight it for as long as possible because anyone one of them could come in, could have a key.

Anyone of those sheltered here could drag her back onto the street or bring in a stake and a flame lit torch. Stephanie tossed and turned Regina’s face floating before her and the threat of death if she didn’t tell her about the vampires, about her world.

Stephanie felt someone shaking her shoulder gently and for a moment she honestly believed it could be William. She mumbled his name softly and then remembered where she was and her fangs were out, eyes bleeding to black she grabbed the hand shaking her hard. She was weak but no longer nausious because she had been out of the sun for hours now. Her head felt dizzy as she sat up and she sat back, releasing the wrist from her grip.

It was Doctor Hopper and she was more than a little suprised to find he had dragged a deer into the quarters, on closer inspection a large buck. She was more than suprised that Doctor Hopper had caught this and for her. He was helping her. Since the curse had broken she certainly wasn’t used to that.

‘Sorry.’ She said attempting to sit up, she swung her legs over the end of the bed and let her head fall into her hands. She could smell the blood and wondered if it was still warm, hoped it would still be warm.

“Don’t apologize,” he assured her, gently caressing circles onto her back. “You’ve nothing to be sorry for. Now, come and and help yourself. I took him down about 15 minutes ago. It’s not as good as a living thing, I suppose, but that would have been a lot harder to carry up here…”

He laughed at the thought and then deposited the carcass in front of her as if presenting some sort of offering, hoping that it would suffice for her.

Stephanie complied easily and when she felt a strong arm around her waist for support she felt a little safer. A voice at the back of her mind still told her not only how ridiculous this was but how she should be making Doctor Hopper into a meal not letting him take her into unknown territory.

It seemed to take forever to get to the actual hideout, sheltered from the sunlight the nausea eased somewhat but she knew the weakness wasn’t going to go away that easily.

Stephanie wondered how on earth he was going to hunt, she couldn’t exactly see the mild mannered Doctor being a domineering male about anything. Although in times of need people could change, people did change or perhaps not even change sometimes something was just awakened inside of them.

There were other people in the shelter as Archie pulled her along, they stared and a few protested but Stephanie didn’t have time to listen to the protests because she was pulled further into the hideout into a back room with a small bed where she collapsed onto it shaking. Head spinning and worn out she lay back and closed her eyes. She felt Doctor Hopper make to move and grabbed his arm.

‘Please don’t leave me.’ She begged, he’d brought her into unknown territory in a weakened state, what if someone else attacked?

“You’ll be safe here, Doctor,” he promised her, grasping her hand for moral support. “You’re well protected, I promise you. If I don’t leave and find some manner of sustenance for you, one of us is bound to die…I’d rather it be neither.”

He coaxed her gently back against the support of the pillows.

“For the time being, just rest. I’ll be back shortly.”

He left through the side door and locked it behind him, knowing her room to be far enough away from the other refugees that she wasn’t likely to be tempted to break free and take any of them as a meal, but he couldn’t be too sure.

He then ventured to the downstairs of the warehouse turned rescue/refuge house and went to the weapons closet to gather a crossbow, bait, and several other supplies he’d need to bring something down. If all else failed he could just bring down one of their cows and bleed it, but they needed them for dairy purposes and he hoped it wouldn’t have to come to that. He wanted a deer, preferably, a young buck that he could easily haul back to her.

With a goal in mind, he set out to reach it.

((you can have it fastforward to you sleeping/waking up and having him come in with a dead deer, if you like, lol))

‘I can’t ask you to do that. Forgive me Doctor I’m grateful for your help but I highly doubt your going to be able to help me in the way I need.’ Stephanie watched him for a moment and then looked to the sun outside. She needed help. For once in her life she had to not let her pride, the pride drilled in her by her father, get the better of her.

She felt her head go a little light and clung to the wall. She studied Archie for a moment and she didn’t think she had the heart to kill him. There was something endearing about him that reminded her of William somewhat. She nodded at him slowly.

‘Regina did this to me and I’m quite sure when my body doesn’t appear she’ll come looking.’ Stephanie said. ‘Not that I’m afraid! When fed I assure you she won’t get the better of me’ she added pride winning out.

‘I need to get out of this sun.’ Stephanie said and she hoped Archie would see the plea for help in her words. Pride would not allow her to out right ask him for help. She was a vampire for gods sake and in her world she ate people like Archie as a midnight snack. She was hoping he’d hear it though and get her away from that god awful orange orb that was cruelly mocking her.

He just nodded and didn’t bother to keep asking her for permission to help. Instead, he opened his umbrella, pulled her close to him to be under the shade it offered, and led her a few agonizing feet down the street to a dead-end, closed off by a wall.

“Hope,” he whispered softly, causing the bricks to fall by the wayside, exposing a tunnel. He led her down inside and shortly after it closed off again, revealing an entire underground hallway lit by dim lamps.

“This leads to a hideout,” he explained. “Regina won’t find you there. Once you’re safe, I can go hunt for you.”

He wondered if she knew he was capable of it? Perhaps Archie hadn’t known the first thing about handling a crossbow, but Jiminy sure did. It had been awhile since he had handled one, granted, but since he had to start keeping a low-profile, hunting was often the only way anyone could eat and so the muscle memory had been forced to return.

Stephanie was vaguely aware of being moved. Every tiny nudge seemed to make her head spin. She felt someone settle behind her, a strong arm around her waist and she wondered exactly what the person was doing. It took a moment before it registered who it was, yet even then. She was trying to fight through fuzz to understand.

Then coherent thought seemed to fly out of the window for a moment as soft flesh with pulse beating fast and pumping warm wet blood through veins was thrust under her nose and mouth. She knew she shouldn’t, she could feel a part of her brain resisting the urge to feed because she knew she needed to keep what few aquaitences she had. If the last few days had taught her anything it was that in this world in this town, there were enough people to see her as the monster she was. That they could come running with pitchforks, they could force her into the sunlight and weaken her. Stephanie had greatly underestimated humanity in this respect.

All it took was a little nick, her fangs were already out and he seemed to be trying to force her to feed and when his wrist caught on the sharp gang and she tasted the first droplet of that delicious wet, warm and coppery liquid she grabbed at his wrist.

A part of her was telling her to be careful, to just drink enough to be able to stand but there was a part of her that was about to tear that arm apart to get at more of the blood. She felt strength beginning to return, a little, not enough. She needed to get out of the sun and she realised she was still feeding. She felt him shift behind her and stopped suddenly. Blood still pooled at his wrist and so she nicked at her finger and massaged the blood onto his wrist healing the wound.

It was going to take her days to recover from this, depending on how much she could get away with hunting. She stilled for a moment allowing what little blood she had taken to chip away at some of the pain and nausea. She felt incredibly foolish and somewhat disgusting in front of Archie. She pushed herself away from him and stood on incredibly shaky legs, now up the little blood shed had seemed like too little and she needed more. She clutched at the wall for support trying to mumble a thankyou to Doctor Hopper and then the realisation hit her that Regina knew where she lived, she had to go back and get her things but what if someone was there waiting for her. As she thought about the journals littered with photos of William, Doctor Hopper began to look more and more like just the meal she needed.

He stood too, beginning to wonder if what he had just done was incredibly selfless or incredibly stupid. It was probably some terrible combination of both, but he was not going to leave her there to die. There was no other alternative, really.

“She’s after you, isn’t she?” he asked of Regina, having gathered from Dr. Harker’s mention of her name and the state she was in that this was correct. “I can help you, but you have to come with me…and if you kill me, you’ll be worse off, I can promise you that. Trust me, doctor, I have a place to hide you and the means to nourish you back to health…you just have to allow me to do so.”

He supposed there was a plea for his life in there somewhere, but he wasn’t lying when he expressed a desire to aid her.

Stephanie heard someone, she felt warm hands on her face and could hear the faint hum of a heartbeat but it wasn’t enough, if it was a man he’d easily over power her and she’d not be able to feed. Her fangs had extended, out of instinct but she doubted she had the strength to bite. If she could stay out of the sun for long enough she’d probably have just enough strength to feed from something small until she could take down something bigger.

She could feel her eyes had barely bled to black. She could vaguely hear him talking and instead of fighting she pleaded.

‘P-p-please don’t hurt me.’ She mumbled, ‘just go by and let me die.’ She managed to add, every word taking a little too much effort. Stephanie felt ridiculous she had never pleaded for anything in her life, she’d never begged. She’d certainly done enough, taken enough lives to not warrant any mercy but she didn’t think she could take anymore pain. She managed to mumble Regina’s name…

Being a doctor, and a very empathetic one at that, Archie made a point of trying to see immediately what a patient needed and when Dr. Harker extended her fangs there was little room for interpretation. He knew she was a vampire, after all, there had never been any doubt of that, and he didn’t try to let it influence how he acted around her. He was sure she would refrain, at least as long as she could, to make him a victim though he knew it to always be a possibility, a risk associated with being a vampire’s acquaintance.

He had to be careful about this, though, because he knew if he gave her too much she could easily just overpower him and take the rest.

He therefore sidled into a sitting position behind her so that her back was leaning against his chest. It offered support he knew she would desperately need. Wrapping an arm around her waist he brought his other wrist to her mouth and brushed it gently over her lips and nose, hoping she would smell the fresh blood beneath it and begin to feed as best she could. He direly hoped this would work as planned.

((Not that good at names sorry lol =))

Stephanie didn’t think she had ever felt weaker in her life as she’d been thrown from the car or was it a carriage. Regina hadn’t even had the decency to drop her in the woods. She’d thrown her dishevelled and weakened into the street with the dried crusting blood of the very last kill from days ago still sticking to her face. Sticking to her hair and crusted on her clothes leave an odd unappealing coppery smell.

Her breathing felt laboured and she tried to stand on shaky legs. She managed to get herself across the street, she needed shelter. What little strength she had she could feel the sun stealing from her. Mocking her high in the sky, it was almost cruel that while everyone else seemed to be enjoying it, it was killing her.

She managed to get across the street before her legs gave out and she had to try and crawl up the alley way to escape the suns rays. The tarmacked floor seemed too hot beneath her skin and she didn’t doubt for a second that today, today might just be the day she died. Not heartbroken from losing William, not destroyed and burned alive by vicious enemies. Here collapsing like some weakling, cowering in the shadows. She felt her eyes get heavy but she knew that was the one thing she had to fight, if anyone found her in this state they could kill her or worse. Not that she had the strength to fight back anyway. Even her thoughts were becoming less coherent as she struggled to stay conscious, the large burn on her arm stinging as it refused to heal. She vaguely remembered Regina experimenting on her. Or had it been a guard.

Archie had to keep a low profile these days. This was primarily why he had set up practice a few miles outside of Storybrooke, though it as under the guise of warehouse where a number of the other members of the rebellion lived and hid out in. For now, they were safe, though he knew it was probable their safe haven could be compromised and they would need to, once again, stake out for another place.

It was for this reason that he hated coming into the inner town, but he had no other choice if he wanted to get the psychiatric medication that some of his patients needed. He endeavored to take back streets and keep out of sight as much as he could. Thankfully, he was not on the Queen’s most wanted list and it certainly helped that Mr. Gold or Rumpelstiltskin had always rather liked him. The latter of the two had probably kept him safe on many an occasion, none of which he’d ever be able to thank him for. After all, he was technically against Rumpelstiltskin- but he, at least, played fair and respected the rules of a chivalrous rivalry.

When he made his way down the winding back streets that afternoon, he certainly did not expect to encounter a bloodied young woman in the shadows who seemed to be in great, intense pain. He ran to her side immediately, brushing her hair from her face gently to get an assessment of the damaged. He realized, however, -in horror- that this was Dr. Harker, the woman he had spoken to naught but a couple of days ago.

“Doctor!” he whispered sharply, hoping to get a reaction from her. “Doctor, say something to me, please. What’s happened to you?”

XD Basically, we’re just starting an RP that takes place after the curse so things are a little bit different.

RP With Archie

quintessentialqueen:

Regina looked at Archie thoughtfully, “There must be something you want, anything.” She tried to think of those he cared about, but drew blanks on every try. “I have access to magic that is nearly unparalleled in this world. Enormous power. Anything you like can be yours.” Promising anything was a large bargain, but this information would be of enormous help to Regina. She could finally kill Snow, and her wretched daughter Emma. She could remove the memories of Charming, and make him her husband, and take back Henry. It may not be with Daniel, but a smile crept on her face when Regina realized she could finally have her happy ending.

“No. I want for nothing,” he said and he knew it to be true. “I’ve finally found the woman I fell in love with, the one you took from me. I need nothing so long as I have her and her love.”

He knew it was dangerous to tell her this, but Regina did not know who he was talking about and with any luck, he’d be escaping soon with her, Melody…Ariel, and they’d be in hiding with the rest of the rebellion.

‘I did mean your work rather than mine Doctor Hopper. All these fractured egos running around will surely keep you in business for a good long while yet. Should you choose to continue in that business. I suppose things have changed a great deal for you now the curse has been lifted have they not?’

‘Although you are right, the discovery of not just two but now three realms has given my research great weight, should I ever return home I’m sure my father would be very proud.’ She let out a low chuckle. Her father had never been proud of anything she had done, from becoming a Doctor, to marrying a werewolf. Her father had never been proud of a single thing she had achieved.

‘You shouldn’t let yourself fall by the wayside though Doctor, surely to help others we must first deal with our own demons.’ She chuckled at her own phrasing. Adjusting her position as the sun came through the clouds. She knew not to show off her weaknesses to her enemies, but she doubted Doctor Hopper would pose much of a threat, she could probably drain him within minutes if he even so much as tried to stake her.

‘Do you know much about this, curse, then? All I’ve heard is talk of it being broken as one of the people who it was definitely not intended to hit I’m a little confused.’ Stephanie asked.

He laughed bitterly at his own mistake. In his own defense, this whole fiasco had left him rather absent-minded as of late. He supposed it was to be expected, all things considered.

“Apart from gaining a new identity and, quite possibly, a case of DID…oh, and, losing my practice now that I’m- well…” He paused, wondering if he should give away his position as a member of the rebellion. He refrained for now, not knowing for sure where Dr. Harker’s loyalties lay. “Well, no longer with a practice, anyway…I suppose I’m about the same.”

But that wasn’t true, he most certainly wasn’t the same and it didn’t take a therapist to see that he had become something of a shell of his former self. Regina had done something to him. He remembered it. Something involving magic because of his refusal to tell her where Henry was. He remembered her telling him something about never seeing ‘her’ again, but hadn’t the foggiest who she was talking about.

It had broken him though, drained him, and continued to do so…sort of like a leech or a parasite slowly working through his reserve of strength
